about

Human Rights Activist, Khurram Parvez, was detained on September 16, 2016 on his way to 33rd UN Human Rights Council Session in Geneva to brief UN bodies, including the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and foreign governments on the atrocities committed by Indian state forces in Jammu and Kashmir. Parvez's arrests comes amidst widespread protests starting in July, in which 82 civilians have been killed and 11,000 wounded. We hear a 2011 interview with Human Rights Advocate, Khurram Parvez.
